Position Summary:
Atlanta Ballet is seeking a part-time, seasonal Boutique Coordinator to support and enhance retail operations for the 2025–2026 season. This individual will assist in daily boutique operations, customer engagement, event merchandising, inventory coordination, and partnership efforts with the Centre for Dance Education.
This position is ideal for an early-career professional or recent graduate with a strong interest in arts retail, fashion merchandising, nonprofit administration, or arts education. The Boutique Coordinator plays a vital role in elevating the customer experience while contributing to revenue generation and community-building within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service in our boutique spaces and at performance/event pop-ups
- Assist children and adults with uniform fittings (ballet flats and leotards; no pointe shoe fittings)
- Operate and maintain the POS system, process online orders, and manage pre-order fulfillment
- Support inventory control including product intake, restocking, and tracking
- Coordinate boutique setup and breakdown at performances and special events
- Collaborate with the Centre for Dance Education to support merchandise campaigns and student uniform needs
- Track vendor deliveries, assist with invoicing, and support product launch timelines
- Assist in scheduling and overseeing volunteers during performances and community events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in retail, arts, nonprofit administration, or related fields
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, retail, or event support
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly with children and families
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable using POS systems, spreadsheets, and cloud-based inventory tools
- Able to lift and move merchandise (up to 25 lbs) and support setup at events
- Interest in ballet, dance education, and the cultural economy of the arts
