Parent Circle

The Mission

Formerly known as the Parents’ Association, the Parent Circle continues the longstanding tradition of supporting the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education (Centre) in its mission of training and inspiring dancers. From its earliest days, the Parents’ Association served as a vital partner, offering support, providing volunteers, and helping foster a sense of belonging within the Centre community. Parents of enrolled students were automatically welcomed as members, with regular meetings posted in studio lobbies and open to families at every level. Through its collective volunteer efforts, the Parents’ Association historically contributed more than $50,000 per year in support of the Centre’s mission.

It is not the mission of the Parent Circle to address questions or concerns about curriculum, placement, or policies. Such questions and discussions should be directed to Dean Sharon Story. For admissions and administrative inquiries, email the Centre Administrative Director, and for summer inquiries, email the Summer Programs Coordinator.

Objectives

  • Build a strong, inclusive community among Centre families
  • Support performances, events, and student experiences through coordinated volunteer efforts
  • Improve communication so parents feel informed, prepared, and connected
  • Continue the rich legacy of parent involvement in supporting Centre’s mission
  • Create opportunities for feedback, collaboration, and meaningful contribution
