The studios at Atlanta Ballet are buzzing with energy as Atlanta Ballet 2 prepares for the charming arrival of Snow White. You might have already seen these rising stars in some of Atlanta Ballet’s larger productions this season’s The Nutcracker or Giselle. However, the headliner of the season for many families is happening this spring, where Atlanta Ballet 2 take center stage in Snow White.

These young dancers have arrived at a defining point in their transitions to becoming professional dancers. Bruce Wells, the visionary behind our Family Ballet series, notes the caliber of working with Atlanta Ballet 2, sharing that they “are incredibly talented and gifted and have a global view of dance. They have been trained to work hard and they are with me every step of the way, every day. Some dancers hold onto you and want you to lead them. Not Atlanta Ballet 2. Since the last time I was here in 2020, 15 of the Atlanta Ballet 2 dancers have since moved to the Company, and that’s such a pleasure to see.”

The pathway to the stage began for Atlanta Ballet 2 long before Snow White. Sharing the Cobb Energy Centre stage with Atlanta Ballet 2 is the Children’s Cast courtesy of The Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education (The Centre).

The Centre has been training the next generation of ballet for the past 30 years. Even our youngest dancers in the Children’s Cast work with repetiteurs, offering every student an incredible opportunity to perform at a professional level, such as taking part in The Nutcracker and our Family Ballets.
