Atlanta Ballet Opening Studios to Dancers Displaced by Hurricane Irma
In light of the developing storms that threaten Florida and the Southeastern coast, Atlanta Ballet is offering help and support to fellow colleagues in dance organizations in the South. Atlanta Ballet is currently coordinating with Miami City Ballet, The Harid Conservatory, and other institutions to provide displaced dancers traveling to Atlanta to escape Hurricane Irma with studio time in our own facilities. We hope that offering affected dancers a space to do what they love brings them joy during this unsettling time and that this example of community assistance will generate hope among the devastating coverage of this unfortunate event.
We will continue to post updates as the situation unfolds and as the volume of at-need dancers is realized. To stay informed, please visit our blog and follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
