Atlanta Ballet Dancers on the Move: See What They’re Doing this Summer!
The official Atlanta Ballet season ends in May, but our Company dancers never stop moving! Many stay and teach at Atlanta Ballet's Summer Intensives, perform with Wabi Sabi around Atlanta, or guest with other dance companies across the country! Here are some highlights - you might even be able to catch them as you plan your summer travels!
June 20th at New Orleans Ballet Theater for its Summer Solstice Show
Tara Lee and Christian Clark performed the Wedding Night Pas de Deux from Stanton Welch's Madame Butterfly and Christine Winkler and John Welker partnered together for Christopher Hampson's John and I.

July 2nd at Greensboro Ballet for its Summer Serenade Program
Claire Stallman, Abigail Tan-Gamino, Rachel Van Buskirk, Christian Clark, Pedro Gamino, and Thom Panto have been in the studio with Atlanta Ballet Artistic Director Emeritus, and former Balanchine dancer, Robert Barnett rehearsing George Balanchine's Serenade, which they will perform next week in Greensboro.

July 11th and 12th in Carbondale, Illinois Shooting a Short Film
Director and producer Adam Stone has enlisted the help of Tara Lee in creating the choreography for his new short film. It will feature Kiara Felder, Abigail Tan-Gamino, Heath Gill, and additional local dancers in Carbondale, Illinois.

Now through August 1st at the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education's Summer Intensives in Atlanta
Young dancers across the country audition for opportunities to study with Atlanta Ballet during the summer in our Summer Intensive programs. They even get to take classes from Company member Rachel Van Buskirk and recently retired dancer Abigail Tan-Gamino.

July 22nd at the Lancaster Music Festival in Lancaster, Ohio
Wabi Sabi ballet master and Atlanta Ballet Company dancer John Welker has been busy planning the Wabi Sabi 2014 season, which starts in July at the Lancaster Music Festival. He and several other Company artists will perform a variety of pieces, including a mix of new and established works. They will dance to live music led by Lancaster Music Festival Orchestra Artistic Director Gary Sheldon, who is also Atlanta Ballet's principal guest conductor.
