Atlanta Ballet 2 Welcomes New Dancers for the 2024|2025 Season

Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education Dean Sharon Story announced ten new 2024|2025 dancers for Atlanta Ballet 2, recruited from global stages, schools and competitions, virtual auditions and the acclaimed Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education, one of the largest dance schools in the nation.

Atlanta Ballet’s history of promoting dancers from Atlanta Ballet 2 to the company attracts a wide array of young talent to the program. This year, two dancers from Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education's esteemed Academy program, Academy VI, have graduated to Atlanta Ballet 2. Academy Level VI gives young dancers the opportunity to develop in a nurturing atmosphere that will prepare them to become professional dancers.

Atlanta Ballet 2 is Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education’s highest level of training that provides new performance opportunities for the next generation of professional dancers and is the pathway to becoming an Atlanta Ballet Company member. The program was formed in the 2017|2018 Season and represents Atlanta Ballet’s continued commitment to promoting greater diversity and inclusion. Since the start of the program, 19 dancers have been promoted from Atlanta Ballet 2 to the Atlanta Ballet company, and 28 more alums have secured positions with professional companies around the world.

Atlanta Ballet 2’s short family ballet The Swan Princess, choreographed by Bruce Wells, will take place from February 15-16, 2025.
