Remi Wörtmeyer’s Significant Others, a captivating blend of music and art inspired by Fanny Mendelssohn and Sonia Delaunay, returns to the Atlanta stage for a celebration of love and collaboration that highlights the transformative power of artistic partnerships.

Melissa Hough, recognized for a choreographic style that emphasizes strong technique, clean lines, and precise musicality, will present her world premiere Plagued Houses, inspired by Romeo and Juliet and set to music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Commemorating 250 years of our nation’s history with an exuberant finale, Atlanta Ballet presents George Balanchine’s signature style in Stars and Stripes, a masterpiece set to John Philip Sousa’s marches, including the well-known “Stars and Stripes Forever.”

Atlanta Ballet invites you into the glamour and decadence of the Roaring Twenties with the Atlanta Ballet premiere of Septime Webre’s lavish adaptation of The Great Gatsby. Based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s celebrated 1925 novel, the production captures the excitement, extravagance, and underlying tragedy of the Jazz Age through dynamic choreography, opulent Art Deco-inspired sets, and glittering costumes. Stylish dancing and theatrical storytelling bring Gatsby’s world of wealth, ambition, romance, and scandal vividly to life, immersing audiences in the era’s pursuit of luxury and pleasure. Dr. Rainbow’s Infinity Mirror by Darian Kane returns with a whimsical and playful production inspired by the music of Danny Elfman and the cinematic worlds of Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, and Tim Burton, offering audiences an immersive and escapist experience.

Choreographer-in-residence Claudia Schreier brings back her acclaimed 2022 work Fauna, an intimate ballet for four dancers that moves between organic fluidity and sharp precision. Set to music by Judith Weir, Paul Creston, and Claude Debussy, the work evokes a dreamlike world suspended between day and night.

Under the Folding Sky by Justin Peck is an expansive ensemble ballet inspired by James Turrell’s “Twilight Epiphany” Skyspace. Set to music from The Photographer by Philip Glass, the piece builds from simple rhythms into sweeping momentum, creating a powerful sense of motion and collective energy.

The season also introduces a brand-new work by Shannon Alvis, showcasing her distinctive creative voice while celebrating the vitality of Atlanta’s dance community.
