Because dance is a performing art, the more stage experience a young student receives, the better prepared he or she will be for the challenges and joys of a professional artist. Each of the Centre's students will be presented annually in the Spring Concert. They will also be encouraged to audition for Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker as well as other productions. Students enrolled in Centre programs will be given first priority for casting in all productions.

Casting decisions are made by the artistic staff in consultation with the faculty on the basis of musicality and techniques. These decisions are made with considerable thought and care, but are not an indication of professional potential.

Nutcracker

All Centre students have priority casting for Nutcracker. They must be 9 years of age by September 1st. Casting for Nutcracker is chosen by auditions held in late summer. Rehearsals begin soon after the audition and performances run through the holidays. There are no excused absences from rehearsals.

Spring Concert

The Centre concludes the year with a Spring Concert. Details will be outlined in January. The concert is on a voluntary basis and all levels are represented. Please refer to the Centre Calendar for Concert dates.
